CHINA, QING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY

Lot Essay

This form appears to be very rare in cloisonné enamel and fairly rare in any other medium. Compare the current vase with another identical cloisonné vessel, although with a green background, sold in our London Rooms, 6 June 2000, lot 220.
See also an 18th century pomegranate-form vase, with a more elaborated pattern, sold in our New York Rooms, 30 March 2005, lot 148.
