Lot Essay

Born in Milan, Luigi Ademollo travelled to Rome where he studied classical antiquities. He moved to Florence in the 1790's where he was responsible for decorating among others, the Teatro della Pergola (since remodelled) and the Palatine Chapel in the Palazzo Pitti.
