A set of twelve pistol-handled table-knives, a set of six identical table-knives and a carving knife
The first set, some with mark of Hendrik Fortman, each Leiden, circa 1780, the second smaller set and carving knife, some with mark Hendrik van Laar, each Rotterdam, some with date-letter of 1782, some marks rubbed
Each with pistol handle and decorated with scroll and lobed ornament, each steel blade with stamped maker's mark KTD under crowned trefoil, the larger matching carving knife only with crowned trefoil and stamped ROTTERDAM
