Mark of Hans Eppes Heiens (Hayens) I (Scheffler p. 334, no. 164), Emden, circa 1780
In Dutch style, of shaped square form, on moulded footrim, each side engraved with scrolling foliage, tassel and pineapple ornament, reeded upper rim, the hinged high domed cover engraved with scroll and shell ornament and two coat-of-arms, baluster-shaped finial, the base inscribed A.J.B, marked on base
