An unusual oval dutch silver snuff-box
Mark of J. Mesman, Schoonhoven, 1786
In the French Louis XVI style, navette shaped, the reverse with simulated engine turned engraved geometric panel, the sides and hinged cover decorated ensuite with flowers and foliage, the cover centred by a medallion with the silver-gilt bust of Prince Willem V of Orange, marked inside on upper rim
