A gentleman called Oliver Goldsmith, in green coat and waistcoat, powdered wig; and a young lady in pale grey dress, black cloak and veil over her hair
the former in gold-cased frame with reverse engraved 'Oliver Goldsmith 1769'; the latter in gilt-metal mount
