CIRCA 1724, DREHER'S INCISED X TO TEABOWL AND / TO SAUCER
Painted in the manner of P.E. Schindler, with extensive Oriental cloudy river landscapes, the teabowl with a crouching Oriental holding a rabbit, by a playful dog and a large bird, within a quatrefoil gilt Böttger-lustre panel cartouche edged with scrolls, the reverse with indianische Blumen, the saucer with a figure holding a fan before distant buildings on a hill, within a similar cartouche, the underside with concentric red circles, gilt band rims (teabowl with very small rim chip at reverse, saucer with minute areas of wear to cartouche)
