A similar teabowl and saucer was sold Christie's Geneva, 11th May 1987, lot 122. The present teabowl and saucer are part of a small group of wares which include a bowl in the Ashmolean Museum, a teapot painted with a view of Paris in the Victoria & Albert Museum, and a tankard in the Pauls Collection, Switzerland. The first two are illustrated by Annedore Müller Hofstede, 'Der slesisch-bohmische Hausmaler Ignaz Preissler', Keramos (1983), No. 100, figs. 49-52, and the third by Peter Wilhelm Meister, Porzellan des 18. Jahrhunderts, Sammlung Pauls (Frankfurt, 1967), Vol. I, pp. 206-207.
