of rectangular form, decorated in gilt, gold foil and silver hiramakie and takamakie, with kirigane, the exterior on a roironuri ground, depicting branches of flowering chrysanthemum, the interior with inlaid ink stone and mizuire, decorated with twin crane beside a meandering river and beneath plum blossom and bamboo, on a nashiji ground; and a small rectangular lacquer box, decorated in silver hiramakie with scattered kiku roundels -- 10in.
