A large Chinese Imari charger, early 18th Century
decorated with a butterfly in flight hovering above branches of chrysanthemum, prunus, peony and bamboo, another insect perched on a bud, the iron-red and gilt scrolling lotus border with four floral cartouches -- 15 1/8 in. (38.5 cm.) diam.
