A Chinese blue and white 'kraak porselein' bowl, Wanli (1573-1619)
the rounded sides flaring slightly at the shaped rim, the exterior painted with panels enclosing spotted deer above a band of overlapping petals, the interior roundel decorated with a white hare, surrounded by panels with alternating fruit and flower-sprays at the sides, restored -- 8.9in. (22.7 cm.) diam.
