An Austro-Hungarian ebonised and brass-mounted quarter-striking table clock with moonphase

The case with figurally cast handle above the inverted bell top and silk-backed engraved gilt-brass sound frets below, further sound frets to the sides above glazed panels and to the brass-lined front door, raised on brass elongated flattened bun feet, the brass dial with foliate spandrels centred by engraved roundels embellished with black and red wax and portraying seasonal figures, to brass Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, the matted and engraved gilt-brass centre decorated with foliate scrolls and birds, with mock pendulum and date apertures, blued steel hands, the engraved arch with central ring showing age of moon and with engraved two-colour moonphase to its centre, flanked by rings for strike/not strike and quarters/not quarters, each with blued steel centre, the one/two days movement with four ringed pillars, barrels for the strike trains and chain fusee for the going train, verge escapement, hour strike on bell, quarters and trip repeat on two bells, the back plate signed Joseph Graff/Prag within a scroll-bordered cartouche; alterations, dial and movement possibly associated; case key
