The case of typical form and has been purpose made from three individual detachable parts secured by wooden pegs (hood/upper section; trunk/middle section; and plinth), the door applied with old paper label inscribed J.H. Pluijm Jz. horologiemaker, Rotterdam, the top surmounted by carved giltwood figures and Atlas, the dial with polychrome painted arch decorated with musical figures and rolling moonphase above the brass dial with silvered chapter ring and fleur-de-lys half hour markers, silvered subsidiary rings to the upper corners for slaan/niet slaan and selection ring indicating the twelve tunes, gilt-brass foliate mask spandrels, matted centre with silvered seconds ring with date aperture and silvered signature plaque inscribed Allin Walker/AMSTERDAM, sector for day of week engraved with polychrome painted figures, painted steel hands, three train eight-day movement with five pillars, anchor escapement, trip repeat for the musical movement, Dutch strike on two bells, playing twelve tunes on nine bells with eightteen hammers via 11cm. long brass pinned barrel positioned to the right side of the movement; three large brass weights; pendulum; crank key; door key

Allin Walker is recorded having his workshop in the Kalverstraat near the Spaarpotsteeg in 1738. He closed his shop and workshop in 1755.
