Lot Essay

According to the sitter, Andy Warhol and the subject had lunch together at the Plaza Hotel in New York. Following the meal, Warhol and Mr. Kelly went across the street to Central Park where the artist made two sketches of the sitter. The artist gave both of the drawings to Mr. Kelly as a gift.
