a well polished and carefully engraved tooth with the image of a stove boat on one side showing the crew being pitched into the sea with the title engraved in a banner below "Stove In"; and on the other an image of Captain Ahab on board the Pequot with the title engraved in a banner below "Thou damned whale!" from the book Moby Dick by Herman Melville. Both in polychrome colors.
7¼ in. (18.4 cm.) length.
