The gorge case engraved with foliate designs, the top with bevelled glass over florally engraved mask cut with an oval viewing aperture, the silvered mask also engraved with leafy sprigs, around white enamel chapter disc with black Roman and red Arabic chapters, bisected at XII with a seconds disc, with alarm disc below, all hands of blued steel, the twin barrels movement with high quality silvered platform stamped J.S. and NO.736 to cut bimetallic lever balance, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to back plate stamped J.S./PARIS and numbered 4701
