A French giant brass striking and repeating eight day carriage clock with alarm
Drocourt, No.9106. Circa 1880
The gorge case with gilt and foliate engraved mask to white enamel Roman and Arabic chapter disc, with rubbed LONDON retail signature and blued steel hands, alarm disc below, the twin barrels movement with giant gilt platform to bimetallic lever balance, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to back plate stamped for Drocourt and numbered 9106; with probably original brown leather travel case, its mauve velvet interior with gilt retail signature for MR STREETER/18 NEW BOND STREET, also with original numbered key
8¼ in. (21 cm.) high, handle down
