AN IRISH REGENCY MAHOGANY SOFA TABLE
Circa 1820
The rounded reeded rectangular twin-flap top, above a pair of frieze drawers, one fitted with a green baize-lined writing slope and divisions, the reverse with a pair of simulated drawers, each divided and flanked by foliate and leaf tablets, on lyre end-supports and leaf-capped downswept legs with brass caps and castors joined by a turned stretcher, the later wooden handles stamped Heywood & Dixon. Patent
