The 12 in. wide painted dial with subsidiary seconds and engraved brass hands, the four pillars movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell, the underside of the hood with indistinct pencil inscription '1814, Feb W C Down (?)'; pendulum, two weights, crank key

Almost certainly supplied to John Smith-Barry (1793-1837), Fota House, Fota Island, County Cork, Ireland and by descent.
