OF WILLIAM AND MARY STYLE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Decorated throughout with inlaid cartouche panels, the superstructure with an arrangment of drawers, pigeon holes and cupboards above a hinged writing surface and three frieze drawers on spiral turned legs joined by stretchers and with turned feet

Provenance
Captain O Shimwell, Gawsworth Hall, Macclesfield, Cheshire, and sold Turner & Son, 28/29 January, 1936, lot 230, as a 'Magnificent antique Walnut (Queen Anne) Bureau', (£21.10s).
James Wheeldon, and by descent in 1963 to his nephew Alec Middleton George, Nantwich, Cheshire.
