An Arita blue and white Transitional-style jug,
late 17th Century
The globular body painted with a continuous scene of a rocky pine forest, including a couple of strolling figures and another three playing go, the wide cylindrical neck moulded with horizontal ribs and painted with two stylized tulip stems divided by jewels, the loop handle sketchily drawn with triple lines alternated by roundels (crack around lower stem of handle)
