A Samson Imari mounted baluster jar,
19th Century
Decorated in iron-red, green and black enamels and gilt on underglaze blue, with three shaped panels depicting two bijin walking under a prunus tree, the panels divided by vivid floral designs, between multi-lobed panels depicting grapevine and flower-heads, the straight rim with cartouches of ho-o-birds and 'treasure knots'
