Meiji period (late 19th century)
Rectangular, placed on a two-tier rectangular base pierced with chevro-shaped windows in upper interior and upper two sides, carved overall with lacey reserves of quail and millet; door pulls carved in the form of wasps; with wood case applied with related ivory plaques and rows of bone squares arranged in a checkerboard pattern
