Titles printed in red and gold, text within elaborate gold border throughout, plates on Japan paper including 5 by Arthur Rackham (occasional light marginal staining). Pale blue cloth with author's monogram stamped in gilt on upper covers, spines lettered in gilt, upper edges gilt, others uncut, later common slipcase. "Heyliger Edition." ONE OF 100 COPIES, this copy unnumbered. Hudson p.174; cf. Latimore & Haskell p.7 (calling for the same printer and year of publication but the ?"Surrey Edition"). This copy may be in a pre-publication or trial binding. The limitation leaf calls for copies "whole-bound in English calf" whilst Latimore & Haskell call for "dark blue cloth with elaborate gold stamping on cover."
