Lot Essay

Compare the virtually identical Yongzheng-marked dish of the same size in the Zhuyuetang Collection illustrated in Shimmering Colours: Monochromes of the Yuan to Qing Periods, Hong Kong, 2005, p. 81, no. 24. See, also, another virtually identical dish dated to the Yongzheng period illustrated by Xu Huping, Treasures in the Royalty: The Official Kiln Porcelain of the Chinese Qing Dynasty, Shanghai, 2003, p. 156.
