Together 3 volumes, 12o (152 x 100 mm). Half-title, one leaf of ads at end of Florence Dombey and Smike. Frontispiece plate in each volume. (Some occasional minor spotting.) Three charming volumes from the Dickens' Little Folks series "... undertaken with a view of supplying the want of a class of books for children... The writings of Charles Dickens have been selected as the basis of the scheme... [and] have been detached from the large mass of matter with which they were originally connected, and presented, in the author's own language, to a new class of readers, to whom the little volumes will, we doubt not, be as attractive as the larger originals have so long proved to the general public" (advertisement at end of Smike). Yale/Gimbel B67, B90, B169. (3)
