One a child's 'wind hat', the red silk satin headband with upturned ear flaps embroidered with flowers, buddhistic lions and the attributes of scholarship, with open top and continuing down in a flap in back to protect the child's neck; a woven black horsehair scholar's hat with woven button on top; a woven black horsehair hill tribe hat decorated on top with a circle of trimmed red silk floss, white and black glass beads and pendent cerise silk tassels; and a Miao Tribe bamboo hat with wide flaring brim and small domed crown, the bead and silk tassel-hung ties ending in beaded cords hung with wool tassels
