A large gray schist relief of Maitreya with Bodhisattvas
Gandhara, 2nd/3rd century
Formed of three panels, the central panel carved with a large figure of Maitreya standing with his hand raised in the fear-abiding gesture and wearing long flowing robes elegantly draped across his shoulder, flanked by two panels of Bodhisattvas backed by pilasters with acanthus leaf capitals
