A GERMAN PORCELAIN GILT-METAL MOUNTED SNUFF-BOX MODELLED AS A TURK'S HEAD
POSSIBLY LATE 18TH CENTURY, UNDERGLAZE BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, PRESSNUMMER 42
The moustachioed Turk wearing a purple turban enriched with gilt stripes and moulded with a central green jewel, the hinged cover painted with in puce with soldiers in a landscape vignette, the underside with equestrian figures in a landscape (hairline crack to upper rim, slight wear)
