FIRST EDITION. AN EXCELLENT COPY WITH A VINTAGE GELATIN SILVER PRINT, 'Chet Baker', reproduced as a double-page spread on pages 42-43. Photography and Jazz "combine to perfection in Ed van der Elsken's gem of a book"; it is "the most successful" of the many attempts to visually echo the music itself (The Photobook). 101 Books, pp.156-57 ("clearly a devoted fan's attempt to capture not just the performer but the performance"); The Open Book, pp.184-85; The Photobook, vol.
