The hinged gadrooned lid surmounted by a cavalier, over a cylindrical body carved with a continuous battle scene, the 'C'-scrolled handle carved as a cavalier perched on a canon and headed by a lion's mask, on a wavy spreading foot carved with portrait busts and crowned coats-of-arms, on four bearded mask-carved feet
