The Virgin and Child

Please note that the present lot will be accompanied by a copy of a letter from Dr. Max J. Friedländer stating that it is a 'fine Netherlandish painting of a Madonna and Child of circa 1530, probably by the same hand as that in the Heller Collection'. Dr. Friedländer notes similar Madonnas in the collections of the museums in Rotterdam and Utrecht.
