According to our research the present watch has never before appeared at auction. It is one of only 6 examples of the reference 3939H in yellow gold known to the market.
Patek Philippe first introduced the reference 3939H in 1992 but the first piece was not officially listed until 1995. This complicated timepiece is exemplary of the mastership of Patek Philippe in that it not only consists of a total of 336 parts but it also houses both minute repeating and tourbillon functions within a small case, classified by the caliber RTO 27 PS.
Approximately 100 pieces are known to have been produced, with about 80 to 90 examples in gold. The present watch represents one of approximately only 9 pieces known to the market.
