a sevres-type paris biscuit porcelain large group of a bull and a young maiden
19th Century, impressed 2340 and signed H. Rock
Naturalistically modelled in relief with six young maidens in Grecian dress, surrounding a huge recumbent bull, perhaps allegorical for Zeus and the Muses, on rectangular base scattered with flower-heads, with wooden support, 35 x 45cm.
