SECOND HALF OF 4TH CENTURY B.C.
With a female head in profile to the left, wearing a stephane and pendant earring, her hair tied back beneath a sakkos, a small phiale at one side, a palmette at the rear, within a stylized wreath, details in added white and yellow, rays around the rim, on raised ring foot
8 7/8 in. (22.6 cm.) diam.
Provenance
French private collection formed between 1930-1960, and thence by descent to the present owner.
