Painted with branches of chrysanthemum beside rockwork, accompanied to the left with a poem and seal mark, the reverse decorated with a band of interlocking scrollwork, small frits to rim, a minor rim chip and small hairline crack

The poem reads: The colours of the purple, white, red and yellow ones are fresh, but when autumn comes they are even livelier.
The poem refers to the four colours of the chrysanthemum, the characteristic autumnal flower.
