Tasting Note: The 1997 Batard-Montrachet has superb aromatics of white fruits and candied nuts. This fresh, focused, expressive, and broad wine is medium-to-full-bodied, and powerful. It coats the palate with its great minerality, pears, and spiced apples. It is concentrated, well-balanced, has outstanding delineation of flavors, and a long, detailed finish.
