Lot Essay

Men rarely appear in Rodolfo Morales's painting; and when they do, it is usually as statues or inert figures. Women, on the contrary, are always a lively presence: the terra firma where joy and tranquility are possible. That multicolored feminine multitude inhabiting his works responds caringly to our gaze with its solid and confident presence.
