A triptych with the Adoration of the Shepherds on the central compartment, the Annunciation and a female donor, aged 36, attended by Saint Catherine on the wings

The composition on the central compartment follows the right half of the engraving of 1620 by L. Vorsterman (Holl.7) after a drawing of Sir P.P. Rubens in the Louvre, Paris (inv.no.20.138). Rubens' drawing is a study for the predella of his altarpiece for the Church of Saint John in Malines, kept since 1802 in the Musée des Beaux Arts, Marseille.
