A Pair of Kinkozan vases, Meiji Period (1868-1912)
each decorated in typical enamels and gilt with a continuous scene of elegant samurai, ladies and street entertainers beneath flowering wisteria, the shoulder and foot with a band of colourful flowerheads between further bands of gilt lappets, each signed Dai Nippon Kinkozan, beneath the Shimazu mon -- 8½in. (21.5cm.) high. (2)
