Presumably autograph letter signed ('Condanné Berezowski') to Senator Emmanuel Arago, from prison on the Ile Nou, New Caledonia, 30 January 1879, asking for the Senator's influence in releasing him from his sentence of hard labour in perpetuity, 2 pages, 8vo, integral address leaf (postal markings).
The Polish-born Berezovski had attempted to assassinate Alexander II in Paris during his state visit to France in 1867.
