Siamo grati al Professor Ugo Ruggeri, che attribuisce il dipinto a Francesco Capella proponendone una datazione intorno al 1760 per confronto con la Madonna e Santi in Santa Maria della Pietà a Venezia, e a quella nel Museum of Fine Arts di Boston (comunicazione scritta).
