An almost identical table, probably by the same craftsman, but with a shell above the basket, was in the collection of Sir W. Thornley Stoker, Ely Place, Dublin that was sold Bennett & Sons Auctioneers, 8-10 November 1910.
The basket of flowers is a popular motif found on Irish mirrors and tables in the middle of the 18th century.
