An assembly of angels, each bearing a heraldic staff and wearing Ecclesiastical vestments, the two angels in the foreground supporting a medallion with the image of Christ Emmanuel blessing and holding a closed scroll, the roundel's background scattered with stars, the rim with golden rays, two seraphs appearing above and below, the upper part of the composition dominated by the golden haloes of the angels, and further back with swirling clouds, painted with alternate greens and reds on terracotta ground
