The elaborately pierced zitan wood frame and stand inset with a round white jade plaque carved in high relief on the one side with two scholars under the wutong tree watching the attendants chiming the qin (stone chime) by the river, with mountains and a pavilion in the background, on the reverse side carved with an egret, a deer and a ram on the embankment next to the pine trees surrounded by mountains, and above a crane in flight amidst the wispy clouds
