Rectangular with rounded corners, the cover and base with maps of the region and city of Velikii Ustiug, the former with a panoramic view across the River Sukhona, in the lower register, each with the coat of arms, key and explication including the date 1804 when the status of the City was conferred on Velikii Ustiug, the sides with trellis pattern, within bright-cut gilt rims, gilt interior, apparently unmarked
