Excellent vintage. Prevailing westerly winds and rainfall of 410 l/m2 which was very well distributed throughout the 188 day growth cycle, including a very beneficial 100 l/m2 in summer
Tasting Note: Aromas of vanilla with some balsamic notes. In spite of its age, this wine retains an intense ruby colour with shades of iodine. Fresh and smooth on the palate with perceptible tannins
This magnum has been released by Marqués de Riscal specifically for this sale and is the first time that a magnum of this wine has ever appeared at auction
