Painted in blue and outlined in manganese with a bust portrait of Queen Mary flanked by the manganese initials QM, she with an ochre crown and necklace, within a laurel wreath surround, the underside with a buff slip and a lead glaze, with a divided crack at 9 o'clock towards the centre and the lower-part of her bust and slight chipping and flaking to underside of rim
