Lot Essay

The Samuel to whom this album was given is the son of a neighbour of
the Lennons in New York; it was given to him by Lennon in circa
1977. Yoko became friends with Samuel's mother as her daughter Mimi,
was a similar age to Sean Lennon. The accompanying letter from Samuel's mother confirms the provenance.
