Lot Essay

This depicts a 200 Guineas Sweepstake run at Newmarket on 3 May 1802 at the First Spring Meeting. It was won by Muly-Moloch, bred by the Earl of Darlington in 1798 by John Bull out of Mistletoe. Muly-Moloch, in addition to winning at Newmarket, won the Pontefract Cup and finished fifth in the Doncaster Cup (won by Alonzo).
